I've been a long time holy priest, who along with many others went disc. Penance is absolutely amazing. I'm impressed with how much damage my shields absorb. I find that having a disc priest is a tremendous benefit. There are SOOOOO many times where I save someone from dying at the last second with PW:S. If my PW:S hadn't been up, then they would've died. Instead the shield kept them up long enough for the other healer's heals (or just MY Penance) to land and get them back to full health. If your raid is low on group heals (resto shammies/ holy priests) then it will be more challenging. A strong balance of healers is necessary for effective raid healing. Granted he was 25 man geared, where I am fully 10-man geared, but still. Our evil counterparts can do more raid healing than holy. What is up with that?! When a boss goes into frenzy or the tank is just very low on hp then this is a very good complement if the tank cant use last stand or such. I am so happy with the changes. My main is a priest and before now I hated healing anything other than pvp. Wrath has made in so much more fun and interesting.
